Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International / Arusha Airport, your guide will warmly welcome you and accompany you to your accommodation in Arusha. Our local guides boast unparalleled knowledge of Tanzania, ensuring your journey from touchdown to departure is seamless and enjoyable.

Day 2: Full day Safari to Tarangire National Park

After a hearty breakfast, we embark on a journey to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its majestic baobab trees and vast herds of elephants. Prepare to witness the dramatic interactions between predator and prey at the park’s watering holes, while keeping an eye out for the diverse bird species that call Tarangire home. Following a full day of exhilarating game drives, we retreat to our lodge for a relaxing evening and overnight stay.

Day 3: Morning Safari in Tarangire National Park

Continuing our exploration of Tarangire, we spend a half day on safari, soaking in the park’s breathtaking landscapes and abundant wildlife. Later, we journey to Karatu town, our last stop before the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you can unwind at the lodge amidst picturesque surroundings.

Day 4: Game drive to Ngorongoro Crater

Rise and shine for an early morning drive to the iconic Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to a plethora of big game animals. Marvel at the crater’s self-sustaining ecosystem and dense predator population as we embark on an unforgettable game drive. After lunch at the crater floor, we proceed to the heart of Serengeti for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Big Cat Game drives at Serengeti National Park

Prepare for a full day of adventure as we delve into the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. With its iconic acacia trees and abundant wildlife, the Serengeti offers unparalleled opportunities to witness Tanzania’s most impressive fauna in action. After an exhilarating day of game drives, we return to our lodge for a well-deserved rest.

Day 6: Central Serengeti – Northern Serengeti (Balloon Ride by option)

Experience the Serengeti from a unique perspective with an optional hot air balloon ride over the plains. Following breakfast, we journey to the park’s northern reaches, traversing diverse landscapes and encountering a myriad of wildlife along the way. Upon arrival in Kogatende, we set out in search of the Wildebeest Migration and the famed Big Five, before retiring to our lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: North Serengeti – Migration tracking

Embark on a thrilling game drive around the Kogatende area, where we’ll seek out carnivores and the awe-inspiring Wildebeest Migration preparing to cross the Mara River into Kenya. Witness the spectacular river crossing, where wildebeest and zebras brave the currents and crocodiles in a bid to reach safety. Dinner and overnight in the North Serengeti National Park.

Day 8: Departure

Conclude your adventure with a farewell lunch at Arusha Coffee Lodge, before leisurely exploring Arusha town or relaxing before your departure. Our team will ensure you’re promptly transported to the airport for your onward journey, bidding you farewell with cherished memories of your Tanzanian safari experience.
