BEST TIME TO VISIT LAKE MANYARA National Park

The best time to visit Lake Manyara National Park is during the dry season, which typically runs from June to October. During this period, vegetation is sparse, making wildlife easier to spot around water sources such as the lake and rivers. Additionally, the dry season coincides with the great wildebeest migration in nearby Serengeti National Park, offering the opportunity to witness this natural spectacle as part of a broader safari experience. However, it’s worth noting that Lake Manyara is a year-round destination, each season offering its own unique highlights. The wet season (November to May) brings lush greenery to the landscape, as well as the chance to see migratory bird species. Moreover, the shoulder seasons of January to March and June to October offer comfortable temperatures and fewer crowds, making for a more peaceful safari experience.
